Plymouth, MN (PRWEB) August 26, 2010

WoodWorkers Guild of America(WWGOA) launched two new online distribution channels with 5min and Blip.TV. 5min, the number one destination for “how-to” online information with 6.5MM unique viewers per month, and Blip.TV complement WWGOA’s strategy to provide unparalleled online distribution of woodworking video content. WWGOA videos were also made available on Google Video and AOL Video.

Consumers can’t seem to get enough online video. According to Nielsen’s August 2010 report of How People Watch: A Global Nielsen Consumer Report, 70% of global online consumers watch online videos. “Consumers continue to turn to the web for information, and more and more the consumer is looking for the information in video format,” said master woodworker and WoodWorkers Guild of America Managing Editor George Vondriska.

Since its inception two years ago, WWGOA has been the leading destination of woodworking video tips and techniques. The addition of 5min, Blip.TV, Google Video and AOL Video expands the organization’s robust online distribution channel which includes an extensive library of videos on its website, and YouTube Channel. “We have even expanded the number of videos on our Facebook page allowing WWGOA members the opportunity to view woodworking content in the social media of their choice,” said Vondriska.

Starting in third quarter 2010 WWGOA will also begin delivering its video tips on iTunes, TiVo, Vizio, Sony IVL and Boxee. The expanded online distribution of WWGOA woodworking video content not only gives consumers the information they are looking for, but also provides our advertisers and sponsors unparalleled reach into the woodworking market place.

While WWGOA’s video content is focused on providing instructional woodworking tips and techniques, the company is now using its video expertise to produce video product reviews. “We see video as the next evolutionary step in the area of product reviews,” said Vondriska. “Video product reviews have a way of conveying a product’s qualities and short comings that simply can’t be done in a printed product review. Our video product reviews also help to differentiate ourselves from our competitors.”

The WoodWorkers Guild of America has seen steady growth since its foundation in October 2008 and has an established and active community. The website features more than 400 video clips comprised of both original WWGOA content and the best-of-the-web content.
